To Montreal

This weekend, we are heading to Montreal for a three-day vacation. It's only an hour away but I've never been, and I'm planning on spending the large majority of my time eating poutine (which is quickly becoming my favorite food). So far all we have planned is walking, poutine-eating, and a stop at IKEA on the way home.

Have any of you been? I would love to hear your recommendations before we go! What are the best places to eat, drink and walk in Montreal?

New Studio

I'm finally moved into the new studio! Just a few months ago, this corner of the garage was just a pile of old flowerpots and broken plywood, but with some shelving and a precarious move of the printing press, it's now a fully functioning workspace. I still have a few more things to move in and some organizing to do, but I wanted to share photos now that it is up and running. Take a look!

We rolled the press across the snowy driveway with two plywood boards and a pallet jack, worrying the whole time that it would roll into the ice and slide down the driveway. Luckily, it stayed put on the jack and we got it safely to its new home with no injuries.

I'll be posting more photos once everything is completely set up (there is a trip to IKEA scheduled in the near future), although I'm not promising it will stay clean and organized for long. And, you can see more behind the scenes posts from past studios here.

Minted Save the Dates

It's been a busy week and a half back at work since the New Year: I moved into a new studio, started work on a new collection and lots of new custom projects. It's going to be a busy year, and I have plenty to share with you! I wanted to start by showing you a new Save the Date I worked on for Minted, which was just added to their site. There is a matching invitation that will be launched soon, along with a few other designs that I will link to as soon as they are available online. Christmas Approaches!

Today is the last day to place holiday orders in the shop! Get your order in by midnight tonight for guaranteed Christmas delivery in the US. Cards make great stocking stuffers (I know a few of my own family members will be getting some this year) and there is still time to order a few!

If you miss the shipping deadline but are in Vermont, I will also be at the Burlington City Arts Holiday Market this Friday and Saturday at the Contois Auditorium in City Hall. Come to Burlington this weekend and get some prints in person!

After that I'll be closing up shop for a much needed break, before getting started on carving out all my new print ideas in January. Happy Holidays everyone!

Shopping and Shipping

We just got back to Vermont from DC, after a busy week and a very successful show. Thanks to everyone who came by the Downtown Holiday Market! The weather was so warm I didn't even have to unpack my space heater.

If you missed the market, there is still time to shop online! I will be shipping for the holidays until December 18th, so if you order by that date your package is guaranteed to arrive in time for Christmas. There are plenty of gifts and stocking stuffers in the shop, and plenty of time left to get your order!

New in the Shop

There are a few new items in the shop today, including this year's block printed ornament. It's block printed on both sides with white ink on dark wood, and tied with a red ribbon.
